In his opening statement, President Khalil Hindi stressed the university’s interest to transfer its cultural message from Palestine to the world, as well as to inform students about international cultures and civilizations, explaining that this day envisages a political, social and cultural message that students want to convey to the world, which is mainly “We are proud of our own civilization and culture.”

The External Academic Relations Officer and Director of the Office of Grants and Contracts Dolly Kaibni said that this day will substantially contribute to updating Birzeit University students of academic scholarships offered by universities worldwide, and will help students get the opportunity to complete their studies abroad.

The PAS director Tina Rafidi said that this activity aims to exchange cultural and social relations between Birzeit students and the international community. Rafidi added, "That this activity was carried out in collaboration with foreign students who are learning the Arabic language, and at the same time introducing their cultures to our students".

The Palestine and Arabic Studies (PAS) Program is an academic program at Birzeit University that offers international students the opportunity to combine the study of the Arabic Language with social science courses about Palestine and the Arab World. International students carry out their studies while experiencing firsthand political and social realities of the area.
