Palestinian Universities Students Participate in an Intensive Course in Italy

Birzeit University (BZU) held on July 6, 2013 a graduation ceremony for participants in the intensive training course on development design and management in the Middle East, conducted for a semester in Italy, from which 18 students from 9 Palestinian universities have graduated.
The BZU President Dr. Khalil Hindi said that this training is the fruit of cooperation between Palestinian universities and Italian government, seeking to expand the participants’ knowledge of development and management concepts in Palestine."
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education representative Dr. Fahoum Shalaby said that the Ministry believes that the project is vital for the development of Palestinian higher education.
The Italian Consul General in Jerusalem Dr. Davide La Cecilia talked about the efforts undertaken by the Italian government to support Palestinian education and universities, emphasizing the importance of the program in supporting the development process in Palestine.
The project coordinator at the Italian universities Prof. Massimo Caneva delivered a brief lecture on the role of Italian universities in this project, while the Vice-President for International Relations at the University of Pavia Prof. Gianni Vaggi gave a briefing on the project, students enrolled and teaching mechanism.
