New training program with Islamic Safa Bank

Birzeit University agreed with Islamic Safa Bank to give students of the Faculty of Business and Economics the opportunity to train at the bank.  The training program enables students who finished 80 credit hours to gain firsthand experience in the banking sector.

The agreement was signed by university president Abdullatif Abuhijleh, the dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Samia Botmeh, and the general manager of the bank, Nidal Barghouthi.

“We are very pleased to partner with the Islamic Safa Bank,” said Abuhijleh. “The agreement offers Birzeit University students the chance to enhance their competencies while working on their academic degree.”

The president expressed his appreciation to the bank for its willingness to work in line with Birzeit University’s academic mission, offering and developing innovative training programs that enable students to hone their skills in line with market needs.

Barghouthi said, “We value the quality of education the students gain throughout their academic journey,” adding that the bank seeks to employ graduates who already have gained practical skills and experience, as this will help them excel in their future jobs.
