Media Development Center Receives Swedish Consulate Program Officer

The Program Officer
at the Swedish Consulate in Jerusalem, Ms. Fadya Salfiti, visited the Media
Development Center (MDC) at BZU-Gaza Branch on 28 January 2012. The visit
coincided with the conclusion of an advanced course on animation, implemented by
the Director
of the Egyptian Animation Society (EAS), Dr. Stalin Ramly, in which 16 trainees participated.

Salfiti expressed admiration for the MDC’s conduct
and great demand expressed by journalists in Gaza for the Center's qualitative
training courses. She viewed parts of documentary films and TV reports produced
by the trainees at the MDC during 2011-2012.

Dr. Ramly expressed
his pleasure at the advanced level reached by course participants. He added
that upon his return to Cairo, he will assign an entire day to highlight the
Palestinian Question through animation during the Fifth Animation Forum to be
held at Talaat Harb Cultural Center in Cairo in early February.

Agha, thanked Salfiti and Dr. Ramly for their efforts in promoting the Center’s
activities and maintaining the high-standard of professional media training in
Palestine.
