Lecture Outlines “The Search for the Origin of Mass”

Birzeit University’s Physics department held a lecture titled “The Search for the Origin of Mass: Discovery of the Higgs Boson with ATLAS at the LHC” on October 29, 2013.
Guest Kate Shaw from the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and researcher in the ATLAS experiment at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) presented the lecture. Its main theme dealt with the 2013 Noble Prize in physics, which was awarded to two scientists, François Englert and Peter W. Higgs.
The lecture attracted university faculty and students.
