The Institute of Community and Public Health at BZU organizes a training workshop in Salfeet - News

 

On 6 July 2011, the Institute of Community and Public Health
(ICPH) at BZU conducted a training workshop, held at the Martyr Yaser Arafat
Hospital in Salfeet. This 3-session training workshop is part of the
operational research on “Improving the quality of maternal health care for
Palestinian women and their newborns at the maternity wards in local
hospitals.”

The training was conducted by the academic researcher Sahar
Hassan and the assistant field workers; Intisar Mheisen and Reham Fayyaleh from
the Women’s Health Unit at the ICPH, focusing on disseminating evidence-based
practices during the second stage of labor. The workshop was attended by all
midwives, physicians and some nurses working at the maternity ward.

In fact, this workshop is part of a series of training
workshops conducted in the above-mentioned hospital, tailored according to their
training needs and has started in 2009 and will continue until the end of this
year 2011.
