A general lecture “IFRS 15 update"
A general lecture titled “IFRS 15 update on revenue recognition” has been held on Thursday, May 25th, 2017. The Accounting Department at Birzeit University in cooperation with Ernest & Young Auditing firm, which is one of the Big Four in the industry, organized the lecture. Academics, professionals, graduates and senior students were among the audience. As for the speakers, Mr. Sa’ed Abdallah (the Partner at Ernst & Young), Mr. Rami Taha (Director) and Mr. Anan Zagha (Manager) contributed in the lecture. The lecture contained a brief history regarding the accounting standards, an explanation of IFRS 15 and its update, as well as the application of the update and its methods. Also, there has been an active discussion between the speakers and the audience.
