Faculty Represented at Jordan Aural and Speech Rehabilitation Workshop

Audiology and Speech Therapy faculty member and specialist in cochlear implants Nadia Abdulhaq participated in a training workshop on Cochlear Implant and Auditory Rehabilitation at Al-Ahliyah Amman University, Jordan.

Abdulhaq presented a paper on the importance of rehabilitation material and cochlear implant equipment. "Cochlear implants are now bringing children and adults with varying ranges of hearing profiles closer and closer to typical hearing.”

"My participation in this workshop reflects ongoing collaboration with the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University of Jordan," Abdulhaq said.  “It is a great opportunity to meet with experts in hearing and speech therapy, and share our own experiences that can improve the conditions of individuals with hearing and speaking disabilities."

The workshop was organized by the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences in cooperation with its counterparts in Jordan University of Science and Technology and Amman Private University.
