Dr. Nazmi Al Jubeh publishes new book on Church of Nativity

Dr. Nazmi Al Jubeh, professor at the department of History and Archaeology, released the book The Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, the Oldest Church in Palestine: A Study of Architecture, Art, History and Heritage. Published by the Institute for Palestine Studies, it is the first book in Arabic to cover the spiritual, architectural and artistic history of the Church of Nativity.

In eight chapters, Dr. Jubeh employs artistic images, engineering drawings and illustrations to investigate the architectural development of the church, its religious embellishments and its historical division between Christian denominations. Dr. Al Jubeh also explores the last restorations of the church as a member of the Presidential Committee for the Restoration of the Church of the Nativity.

Dr. Jubeh has previously published several books and articles on history, archaeology, politics and architecture. He is known for his expertise on Jerusalem, Hebron, holy sites and cultural heritage in Palestine.
