Democracy and Human Rights Graduate Program Joins Germany Meet

Graduate students and the director of the Democracy and Human Rights program participated in a meeting under the auspices of a three-year Palestinian-German student exchange and educational dialogue project. This project aims at promoting student exchange and dialogue between Palestinian and German institutions for the purpose of training and discussion.

The meeting brought together academics and students from Birzeit University, An-Najah National University, Al-Quds University, Middle East Center for Development Affairs and Human Rights, represented by Hebron University and Neubrandenburg University in Germany from October 3-10, 2014 at Neubrandenburg University.

The program included intensive lectures on social justice and change, intercultural communication, social services, democracy and human rights, politics and society and other topics, in addition to many cultural events. Democracy and Human Rights graduate program director Helga Baumgarten gave a lecture on the recent war on Gaza.
