Delegation from Harvard University Visits BZU to Discuss Prospects for Cooperation - News

A delegation from Harvard University, comprising Professor
of Economics Philippe Aghion and Lecturer in Freedom of Expression and Media
Dr. Benedict Berner, was accompanied by a representative from the Palestinian
Monetary Authority in a visit to BZU on 12 July 2011. The delegation met with
the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Adnan Yahya, Professor of
Economics Dr. Mohammad Nasr, and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs
Dr. Abdel Aziz Shawabkeh.

The visiting delegation was briefed on the status and
concerns of higher education in Palestine before discussing possibilities for
cooperation between BZU and Harvard University. Discussions for potential
collaboration centered on joint design of educational programs and faculty and
students exchange between the universities.
