Center for Continuing Education Graduates Fourth Sports Management Class

The Birzeit University Center for Continuing Education celebrated on March 18, 2014 the graduation of the fourth class of its sports management program. The program is implemented by the center in partnership with the Palestine Football Federation, the international football association, FIFA, and its academic arm, the International Centre for Sport Studies (CIES).

Vice President for Advancement Ghassan Khatib addressed the graduates, praising the successful partnership with FIFA and the Palestine Football Federation as contributing to the development of the sports sector, which in turn plays an important cultural, social and developmental role.

CIES University President Bernard Reeb expressed his delight at attending the event, and hoped that the program has nourished the graduates with knowledge that will help them to achieve their goals. Reeb said that "the certificate that the graduated will receive today will enable them to develop the sports sector in Palestine, thanking all the partners for their fruitful efforts that led to the success of this program, led by head of the Palestine Football Federation Major General Jibril Rajoub.

Center for Continuing Education director Marwan Tarazi said that he is proud to be a member of the program staff, thanked all the partners and congratulated the graduates.

Graduate Hazem Khattab also spoke about the history of the sports movement in Palestine, commending the leadership and development of the sports sector in spite of the lack of resources available.
