BZU takes part in high school guidance session in Salfeet

Representatives from Birzeit University’s Registration and Admissions Department took part in a guidance session for high school (Injaz) students which took place in the Salfeet governorate on February 14, 2018.

The session was organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in cooperation with Palestinian higher education institutions, in Al-Quds Open University’s campus in Salfeet.

The first in the series of guidance sessions, held annually in all 11 Palestinian governorates in the West Bank, took place in Jerusalem, and the next session, to be held on February 19, 2018, will take place in Palestine Polytechnic University’s campus in Hebron.

The session aims to introduce prospective college students to the available majors in Palestinian educational institutions and assist them in choosing suitable majors and universities according to their interests and the job market needs.

The representatives introduced students to the majors offered at Birzeit University, explained the admission process, and answered their various questions.

Students were also briefed on the Contemporary Visual Art Program and the Leadership and Active Citizenship Program – Masari. A three-year interactive learning program developed by Birzeit University and aimed at first-year students, Masari develops students’ life skills and entrepreneurial spirit through six learning stations: Personal Competencies, Career Path, Debating, Citizenship, and Social Entrepreneurship 1 and 2.
