BZU Students Rank 1st and 3rd in IT at Arab Universities Contest - Highlights

BZU Faculty of Information Technology students’ projects
ranked 1st and 3rd out of 40 participating projects from
various Jordanian and Arab universities. The Arab Universities Contest was held
in Jordan on 12 -13 July 2011at Petra University.

 

 

Students Ahmed Ramahi and Khaled Mustafa won 1st
place in the competition for their joint project "Interactive Learning
Platform." Asma Aqqad, Faraj Khaseeb and Mohammad Shtayyeh’s project entitled
"iPhone Application to Integrate Social Networks" won 3rd
place in the same competition, distinguishing the Faculty of Information
Technology at BZU among the participating universities.

 

 

Faculty
member, Hafez Barghouti, of the Department of Computer Science at BZU,
expressed his pride and delight at the students’ success, despite challenging
circumstances under Israeli occupation, which impede work and creativity.
