BZU receives a new batch of students for the year 2011/2012 - News

On 17 Augast 2011, the Deanship of Student Affairs at BZU held
at Kamal Nasser Hall a reception to welcome the new students for the academic
year 2011/2012, aiming to acquaint them with BZU facilities, faculties and
specializations.

 

At the beginning of the ceremony, the Dean of Student
Affairs, Mr. Mohammad Al-Ahmad, welcomed the new students, pointing out that
BZU has received for the next semester more than 2,200 new students (males
& females) within the various faculties and disciplines

Mr. Al-Ahmad emphasized the need for the new
students to exploit their university life in participating in every
extra-curricular activity, since this opportunity will not be repeated,
stressing that the university will be the most beautiful period in their lives.
He added that the new students are requested to follow up on the registration
matters with the Department of Registration and Admission, and to benefit from
the assistance provided by the Deanship of Student Affairs Office during their freshman
year

The Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Fadel al-Khalidi,
addressed the students’ union rights, explaining the requirements for running
in the Student Council elections. He talked about the role of the faculty/department
clubs, in launching projects that serve students’ interests, and contribute to
the refinement of their personalities.

During the meeting, an educational film about the university
and its facilities was screened, and then Mr. Muhammad Zainaddin from the
computer center trained the students on BZU’s Academic Portal
"Ritaj", in addition to a campus tour with a number of old students
trained to assist their colleagues within the framework of the voluntary work
program.
