Birzeit University seats four new board members

The Birzeit University Board of Trustees (BoT) announced the addition of four new members to the Board: Dr. Rima Khalaf, former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA); Ms. Samia Totah, the COO of Bisan Systems Ltd; Mr. Ali Elhaj, an advisor to a private equity firm in New York and a Palestinian buisnessman; and Mr. Maher Al Masri, the Chair of the Board to Palestine Islamic Bank.

The Board of Trustees values the new members for their broad experience and knowledge in academia and administration, and their will to contribute to the development of Birzeit University and its progress. 

The BoT, comprised of a number of Palestinian intellectuals and specialists, supports and maintains the independence of Birzeit University, promoting its reputation, development and success to enable it to serve the Palestinian community in the fields of culture and education. The Board of Trustees has no political, religious, or sectarian affiliation.
