Birzeit University Represents Palestine in Vienna International Entrepreneurship Conference

Birzeit University’s Masters in Business Administration program director Suhail Sultan represented Palestine in Vienna at the International Conference on Entrepreneurship held at UNIDO Headquarters on November 11-13, 2014. The 125 participants included government ministers, ambassadors and scholars from 60 countries who came to discuss how education systems and the private sector can effectively promote entrepreneurial attitudes and talent among youth.

“The studies recently conducted suggest that big multinational companies have become unable to create jobs due to the prevailing political, social and economic conditions,” Sultan said. “This conference seeks to discuss the role of government, the private sector and academia in entrepreneurship in order to create change in the economic structure, and the vital role of curricula and teacher in the acquisition of skills and knowledge that bring about change.
