Birzeit exchange students prepare for term in Europe in 2021–2022 exchange program

Seventy-six Birzeit University students will spend a semester abroad during the 2021—2022 spring term as part of an international academic exchange program  coordinated by the university’s External Academic Relations Office.

The students, each of whom will travel to one of 24 universities across 13 European countries, discussed the conditions, requirements, and plans for the upcoming exchange semester in an information session organized by the academic relations office on December 16, 2021.

Dr. Amir Khalil, director of the External Academic Relations Office, offered the students information about their travel and accommodation arrangements in the host countries and discussed with them their academic plans for the upcoming term. Additionally, Khalil provided the students with a pre-departure checklist and  some advice to fully benefit from the exchange program.

Exchange programs provide students and faculty members with the opportunity to broaden their perspectives and forge lasting connections with academics and colleagues regionally and internationally. Khalil encouraged students to take part in such programs during their academic journeys to gain valuable skills that will help them in their academic and professional careers.
