Scholarship Continues to Offer Educational and Internship Opportunities

Birzeit University’s Advancement Office announced on July 16, 2016 that the Scholarship would be offered for the second consecutive year. offers scholarships and internship opportunities for students based on financial need and academic merit.

The scholarship will be awarded this year to three students pursuing different majors but with good academic credentials. will also offer internship opportunities for students. Last year, three students from the Computer Engineering Department were awarded the scholarship.

The scholarship represents a promising addition to the Scholarships and Internships program that was recently revamped by the Advancement Office. Through the program, private sector companies offer scholarships for students in their second or third academic year.

Students who are awarded scholarships can benefit from training programs designed by the donors, who  may also offer the students job opportunities after their graduation.

General Counsel and CSR Director at Lena El Malak said that the Middle East-focused jobs portal is committed to build long-term partnerships with different sectors, including education, in order to contribute to achieving sustainable development in Palestine and the region in general.  “We focus on producing career-ready youth with knowledge and skills in a wide range of fields.”
