Archbishop Atallah Hanna and Creighton University Official Nasir al-Sharif Talk Cooperation with Birzeit University

Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Sebastia Atallah Hanna and a representative of Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, Nasir al-Sharif visited Birzeit University on March 18, 2013.
The guests met with Acting President and Vice President for Administrative Affairs Adel Zagha and director of Birzeit University’s Pharmacy program Hani Shtayyeh. The two parties discussed spheres of cooperation between Creighton University and BZU.
The officials discussed ways to promote academic exchange and joint research, as well as meeting students’ needs through seminars and lectures. They also discussed helping the faculty of the Pharmacists program at BZU to obtain grants in order to obtain their doctoral degrees and providing training opportunities for BZU students at Creighton University.
Both parties decided to start discussions with other Arab universities in order to establish a body of accreditation for pharmacists and health professions programs at Arab universities.

The Right to Education Campaign was founded in 1988 by a group of students and professors to provide legal assistance to right to education through activities and events. The campaign aims to spread students’ awareness of their educational rights under occupation, which attempts to obliterate Palestinian thought.
