Agreement Signed to Preserve Digital Heritage

Birzeit University signed an agreement with the Palestinian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science on August 29 that will provide $16,980 of funding for the implementation of the "Heritage Preservation via Digital Media and Animation Project."
University president Khalil Hindi expressed his pleasure with the agreement, highlighting the vital role played by the committee in serving science and culture in Palestine.
Tillaway said that this agreement reflects the committee’s message and is in line with its objectives, in addition to being a component of support by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
"We will do everything we can to support Palestinian universities and scientific research in Palestine,” Tillaway said. The Birzeit University Department of Architectural Engineering will work on project implementation in cooperation with the committee.
