Administration, student union agree to improve student services on campus

Birzeit University’s administration and the student union have agreed to end the union’s planned strike action in an agreement signed on October 8, 2021.

Both parties agreed to work closely to upgrade internet services on campus within the upcoming five months, in addition to improving the university’s health facilities, according to Birzeit University’s Vice President for Advancement Dr. Ghassan Khatib.

As the agreement states, the university’s administration will work with the Palestinian Ministry of Transportation to address key transportation disruptions to and from campus and provide better services for students.

Additionally, the student council will establish a booth inside the university’s main food court,  whose profits will go towards funding the university’s scholarships and financial assistance efforts.
