4 French Language Students from Birzeit University participate in an intensive language course in France
Four students from the French language department, Hadil Moutan, Shima al-Khatib, Nagham Mubarak and Tala Darwish, participated in an intensive two-week language course at the CAVILAM linguistic and pedagogical education center in Vichy, France, from 16/08/2024 to 31/08/2024. This opportunity came thanks to a linguistic grant offered by the French consulate, which annually offers language grants to French Language Department students as part of educational and cultural cooperation programs.
The students lived with French families during their stay, which allowed them to dive deep into the French culture, and practice the language daily, exponentially enhancing their linguistic and communicative abilities. The students reiterated the great positive impact of this experience on both the language and their personalities, as these intensive lessons, alongside the daily multicontextual interactions with the language, had honed their French capabilities. On another side, this trip broadened their socio-cultural aspects, adding a new rich dimension to their skills.
