2022 Ramadan Campaign launches with goal of funding 300 scholarships

Birzeit University has recently launched its 2022 Ramadan Campaign to help 300 underprivileged students complete their education. Organized annually, the campaign raises funds to provide scholarships for financially disadvantaged students, including high-achieving students and those who lost one or both parents.

Through the generous donations of Birzeit University’s friends and supporters, the campaign has helped more than 400 students since it began in 2014, giving them the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to the development of their communities.

This campaign is part of the university’s Zakat Fund, which was established in 2014 to support education at Birzeit University by collecting charity donations and Zakat from philanthropists and university staff and alumni and providing scholarships and other forms of financial aid to underprivileged students.

The Zakat Fund is supervised by a group of faculty and staff members at Birzeit University who manage the funding and allocation of scholarships and financial aid.
