Biography:

Dr. Munir Qazzaz is
an Associate Professor at Birzeit University. Currently he is the Dean of
Faculty of Nursing, Pharmacy and Health Professions. He was on a sabbatical
leave at the University of Calgary- Canada as a visiting fellow
in Hotchkiss Brain Institute- Faculty of
Medicine
. Dr. Qazzaz is the
Physiologist by training, teaches Anatomy and physiology and sex education at
the Biology Department and the Faculty of Nursing
, Pharmacy and Health Professions since 1997. He also conducts
research in the field of Physiology and Neurophysiology. He published many
articles
in peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Qazzaz was the Vice
President for Community Outreach
at Birzeit University
Palestine Since 2009. The Community Outreach Office monitors the work
of BZU institutes and centers that were established in response to specific
needs within the Palestinian community.

Prior to that Dr.
Qazzaz established and managed of the Office of Grants and Contracts (OGC)
at Birzeit University for two year (2007-2009). The OGC is a service office of
Birzeit University founded to encourage and assist the BZU faculty and staff in
their pursuit of external funds.

Dr. Qazzaz was the Dean of Students Affairs at Birzeit
University during the period 2003-2007. The office provides opportunities for
students to participate in social and cultural activities. It also supervises
and coordinates annual students

elections and
provides financial support to needy students.
