Ahmad Alsadeh
Ahmad Alsadeh is the dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology. He has served as Chair Person for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Birzeit University from September 2019 to August 2022.
Dr. Alsadeh's academic journey began at Birzeit University, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications) in 2002. He continued his studies at Birzeit University earning a master's degree in Scientific Computing in 2007. Dr. Alsadeh's thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a Doctor of Engineering in IT security from the Hasso Plattner Institute at the University of Potsdam in Germany.
Dr. Alsadeh research interests encompass network security, cryptography, and systems security. He has published extensively in refereed journals and conferences, while also serving as a reviewer for these publications.
Dr. Alsadeh's commitment to academic excellence is evident in his teaching and research endeavors. He has taught a range of courses for both undergraduate and graduate programs, including Applied Cryptography, Network Security Protocols, Secure Software Development, and Hardware Security. He has also provided guidance to numerous students through their master's theses and bachelor projects.
His leadership extends to the Presidency of the ISOC Palestine Chapter and Vice-Presidency of the IPv6 Forum. Dr. Alsadeh is invited to global events to discuss the latest advancements in internet technology, particularly IPv6.
