Adnan Shihabi
Dr. Adnan Shehabi is a full-time Faculty Member at the Department of Audiology and Speech Therapy at Birzeit University. He received his Bachelor's degree in Audiology and Speech Therapy (with Distinction), with a minor in Psychology in 2016 from Birzeit University. In 2017, he earned his Master's Degree in Audiology (with Distinction) from the University of Southampton, UK. Then, he pursued his Doctoral Studies in Audiology at the University of Manchester, UK, and he earned his PhD (with Distinction) in 2022. Dr. Adnan has published a number of research articles in peer-reviewed medical and hearing-related journals. His current research focus is on studying the effects of different etiologies on hearing loss including noise exposure, aging, and other hearing-related pathologies. He is also interested in developing and validating clinical speech-perception-in-noise hearing tests in Arabic alongside other clinical tools that are needed in audiology clinics in Palestine. Dr. Adnan has experience as a clinical audiologist and he aims to use his current research to improve the practice of clinical audiology in Palestine.
