WESC221 | ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Protecting the environment and its various sources as one of the most important elements of the sustainability of societies, where the economic, cultural, social and political aspects of life are based on the ability of countries to provide clean environmental sources that guarantee the lives of individuals with decent living. Availability of laws, policies, legislation, local, regional and international agreements, safe management methods and environmentally friendly practices. Integrated environmental management systems include aspects of social, economic and environmental sciences, sources of the natural environment and ways to preserve it and protect it from degradation. Presentation and discussion of the institutional organization of the Palestinian environment and its supporting organizational structures. Quality of environmental elements include standard specifications for surface and groundwater, sewage and air quality. Methods of environmental impact assessment for selected projects in infrastructure and their applications as a tool for achieving sustainability of integrated environmental management in agriculture and industry.
