The Medical Biochemistry course is designed to provide health profession students with medically-relevant application of biochemical principles.Topics that will be covered are carbohydrate, amino acid, and lipid metabolism, including a variety of disease states arising from genetic and environmental factors, with major emphasis given to diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and atherosclerosis.
