GEOG434 | GEOGRAPHY OF WATER RESOURCES

The course includes the definition of water resources and their importance in the hydrological cycle as well as the factors controlling its elements. The water measurable elements, the natural factors that affect water resources and the regional classifications will be studied. The course will also focus on surface water and its role in the maintaining an environmental balance. The origin of the groundwater, its occurrences and formations, its recharge basins and the quality of water, and different methodologies for water resources exploitation and the explorations will also be included.
