ENAR5411 | ADVANCED ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

Series of lectures that focus on the contemporary and its implications on the formation of the architectural design processes and methodologies, architecture as a critical and local development outcome, issues related to the local Palestinian context and the role of architectural design as a critical tool for change and for providing a new understanding of the current reality, emphasis on approaches in experimental design, analysis of philosophical and architectural literature related to critical analysis of architectural concepts and projects, special attention to the requirements of people with special needs, implementing an advanced complete multifunctional project that is highly complex in terms of location and contextual relationships related to political, economical, developmental, or social aspects. (Lecture 1hours, Studio 9 hours.)
