Introduction to the field of interior design and understanding the spatial relations between two dimensional and three dimensional components that shape the interior environment, theories and stylistic movements in the field of interior design within the cultural, architectural , and historical contexts, an overview of interior building systems and elements including analysis of existing sites, spatial organizations, functional relationships, furniture layout, sound systems, lighting conditions, color theories and their implications, safety considerations, and surface treatments, studio work emphasizes on interior space planning and design for interior spaces that foster a variety of activities such as exhibition halls, commercial spaces, and offices taking into consideration functional requirements, programmatic concerns, circulation paths, furniture arrangements ,and surface finishes .(Lecture 1hours, Studio 6 hours.)
