This course is an introduction to the history of architecture and urbanism in the ancient world from prehistory to the Middle Ages, understanding social, cultural, political, economical and climatic conditions that influenced the built environment of the Mediterranean basin, plus Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas (Stone age, ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Bronze age, Ancient Greece and Rome, Maya, Inca and Aztec civilizations, and Asia).
