This course critically examines research and theory on the use of ICT for constructing knowledge in different disciplines (Math, Science, English, …) . Students will explore and analyze the educational uses of a variety of ICT tools in a specific discipline. This course allows students to see the ways in which specific choices of technology are associated and lead to specific learning outcomes in a specific content area. Other topics that will be covered include: systems of thought that favor or oppose the use of technology in education, analysis and categorization of ICT tools and constructivist approaches to applications of technology in specific disciplines.
