EDUC3313 | LEARNING DIFFICULTIES

This course covers the understanding of learning difficulties in terms of its causes, categories such as MLD, SpLD, and the effective strategies in dealing with them, characteristics of students with learning challenges, methods of early diagnosis of learning difficulties and developing programs and strategies to treat them. The focus of this course will be on the instructional and classroom management skills the teachers requires to create an inclusive classroom and to assist students to function in the mainstream society. The course will also introduce students to the debates around IQ testing in a specific cultural and linguistic context.
