DSGN2320 | INTRODUCTION TO FASHION TECHNOLOGY

Introduction to Pattern making and draping skills, sewing, and garment construction. The course focuses on how to take accurate body measurements for pattern making and pattern making for the classical cuts (skirt, pants and bodice, etc.) and focus on its technical sewing skills and techniques, and how to transform their designs into garments. The course will introduce students to the work of the fashion designer, focusing on the basic practical techniques of fashion design applied to men’s and women’s wear. (1hour theory, 6 hours practical)
