Theories and practices of community-based development, combined with scholarly and practical literature on the implementation of development at the community level in marginalized regions in Palestine. Uses interdisciplinary approaches, local and global development theories and social justice perspectives to promote new development strategies and knowledges that foster self-reliance and sustainable local development that is accountable to communities’ and their ownership over local economic, social structures, and knowledges power. Includes visits to the field and practical engagement with local communities.
