This course aims at introducing the purposes of Pre- Islamic poetry and to focus on the poetry description and its development in Arabic literature specially in pre-Islamic poetry so that this course will focus on comprehensive definition of the description poetry and its purposes and it defines its subjects with emphasis on its artistic and esthetic elements implementation of the purpose of this poetry is achieved through selected poets examples
