Dr. Zeina Jallad  

Dr. Zeina Jallad is the Director of the Palestine Land Studies Center and an Assistant Professor of International Law at the American University of Beirut (AUB).

Her research focuses on human rights, international law, and sustainability, with a particular emphasis on the Arab region.

Dr. Jallad has two decades of experience working with the UN across the MENA region, Switzerland, and Laos.

She holds a JSD in Law, completed Summa Cum Laude, an LLM from Columbia University, and a Graduate Diploma from Birzeit University.

She is a member of both the Palestinian Bar (2004) and the New York City Bar (2014). Her academic fellowships include positions at Harvard Law School’s IGLP, Columbia University’s Center for Gender and Sexuality Law, and NYU School of Law.

Dr. Jallad’s work has been published in journals such as the Columbia Journal of Race and Law and the Penn International Law Review. She also serves as a senior advisor to the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food and sits on the Board of Trustees at Birzeit University.
