Within the framework of the PalGov, funded by the European Union (TEMPUS
Program), the Faculty of Information Technology at Birzeit University is
seeking highly qualified candidates for a consultant on legal-informatics issues
related to e-government, to perform the following tasks:

  • Lead and contribute to A3.1 (Legal Informatics needs assessment), conducting
    interviews, analyzing results, and report writing
  • Lead WP 3 (Palestinian side).
  • Organize and participate in A3.2 (Legal Informatics study tour to UoN), and
    make sure the goals of the tour are achieved.
  • Lead and contribute to A3.3 (development of the legal informatics tutorials
    and courses
  • Lead and Contribute to A4.1 (Tutorials delivery) material delivery, organization,
    and report writing.
  • Commit to teaching the Legal Informatics course at BZU

 

The project aims to bridge the knowledge gap and build the competencies of the
Palestinian society with the know-how for implementing and deploying electronic
and integrated services, in particular e-government services. A series of
specialized tutorials will be developed and delivered to professionals (from
ministries, education, and private sector), as well as several academic courses
that will be introduced into the curricula of the partner universities. A
Palestinian e-governance Academy will be established during the project to
disseminate and sustain the project results and outcomes.

(2)Service Oriented Architecture Consultant

Within the framework of the PalGov, funded by the European Union (TEMPUS
Program), the Faculty of Information Technology at Birzeit University is
seeking highly qualified candidates for a consultant on service oriented
architecture issues related to e-government, to perform the following tasks:
- Establish the Interoperability Lab (hardware and software) at BZU, and guide
BZU on the purchasing the project equipment.

-Contribute to A1.3 the (development of the interoperability courses and
tutorials), which are mainly:
  

  • Attend and contribute to the interoperability meetings.
  •    Develop the "Service Oriented Architecture" tutorial material
    (BZU part), which is being developed in cooperation with PPU.
  •    Develop lab training material for all tutorials and courses in
    the project, which is being developed in cooperation with all partners.
  •    Contributing to any reporting or evaluation, or website content
    related to the above tasks.
  • -Contribute to A4.1 (Tutorials delivery) material delivery, organization, and
    report writing, which are mainly:
  •    Deliver the "Service Oriented Architecture" tutorial material
    (BZU part), which will be delivered in cooperation with PPU.
  •    Play the role of a teaching assistant (in the lab modules) of
    the 4 Interoperability tutorials in the project.
  •    Contributing to any reporting or evaluation, or website content
    related to the above tasks.

-Contribute to A5.3 (Organize Visiting Lectures), and to A5.4 (Organize
National Workshops) that are related to Interoperability.

-Contribute to A6.3 (Organize Policy consensus workshop) that are related to
Interoperability

National Workshops).
- Contribute to A6.3 (Organize Policy consensus workshop).
