Call for Applications (HESPAL 2025-2026 Cycle)
The Higher Education Scholarship for Palestinians (HESPAL) program is now open for applications for the 2025/2026 academic year. This prestigious initiative offers Master's and PhD scholarships to outstanding junior academic staff from Palestinian universities to pursue advanced studies at leading universities in the United Kingdom.
Objectives:
- Develop future senior academics for Palestinian higher education institutions.
- Foster sustainable academic links between Palestinian and UK universities.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be citizens and residents of the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
- Be nominated by their Palestinian university.
- Have a strong academic record with a minimum grade of “Very Good.”
- Commit to returning to their university post-graduation.
- Hold an up-to-date IELTS certificate with a score of at least 6.5.
Fields of Study:
The program supports diverse fields, including but not limited to:
- Business, Economics, and Finance
- Political Sciences and International Relations
- Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and Clean Energy
- ICT, Nanotechnology, and Educational Technology
- Nursing, TESOL, and Human Rights

Application Process:
- Identifying the UK partner universities and preferred program of study
- Applying directly to three programs offered by UK partner universities listed in the HESPAL program.
- Obtaining nomination from your university.
- Submitting a completed HESPAL online application and uploading the required supporting documents.
