Birzeit University announces that registration for the inaugural PhD program in mathematics for the 2022–2023 semester is open from Monday, July 25 to Thursday, August 25, 2022. If interested in applying to the program, follow the steps, here

Students who obtained their master’s degrees in mathematics or any relevant field from a certified university with a “very good” average or equivalent are encouraged to apply.

The program’s tuition fees are 250 JOD per 1 credit hour.

To be able to fill out the application, a nonrefundable fee of 100 JOD must be paid through:

  1. PalPay
  2. Bank of Palestine’s online application
  3. Credit cards (Visa or Mastercard)

 

All documents, indicated here , shall be submitted by hand to the Admission and Registration Department at Birzeit University.

 

Scholarships and Financial Support

Birzeit University offers partial or full scholarships. Forty percent of admitted students are expected to receive a full scholarship based on the following procedures (for full scholarships)-

  1. The full scholarship covers the tuition fee of 6 credit hours per semester, or 12 credit hours per academic year (Students must pay the registration fee of 100 JOD).
  2. 4,000 JOD per year for accommodations and other facilities.
  3. Each student awarded with a full scholarship is obliged to teach at the Department of Mathematics for 18 credit hours each year (including the summer semester).

Partial scholarships awarded are calculated based on the total value of the scholarship offered by the program.
