The External Academic Relations office is pleased to announce a funded 4-year PhD scholarship at London South Bank University (LSBU) in the UK. This tuition-free opportunity is part of a cutting-edge research project focusing on artificial intelligence, green energy, and climate modeling in building systems.

This interdisciplinary PhD project is suitable for candidates from the following backgrounds:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Sustainable Energy and Environmental Systems
Application Deadline: Friday, 1 August 2025.
Funding:
The scholarship includes a full tuition fee waiver for 4 years (48 months), covering:
- Research and development phase
- Writing-up year
- Examination and final submission of the thesis
Note: Living expenses and accommodation are not covered.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- A 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university.
- Two academic reference letters.
- Proof of all qualifications.
- For non-native English speakers, a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 is required.
- Candidates will be invited to an interview with the potential supervisor (in person or online).
- Candidates must contact the supervisor before applying.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in machine learning and sustainable energy technologies.
- Strong interest in numerical analysis related to building and environmental system
Selection Criteria:
- Academic qualifications and relevance of previous studies.
- Motivation and research interests aligned with the project.

- English language proficiency.
