Opportunities are announced through the announcement board on Ritaj by the Office of Grants and Contracts. All calls for proposal and projects are also circulated to the university community via e-mail.

Sign your Ritaj Account. Go to E-Forms and then Click on- “Office of Grants and Contracts Forms”.
What are the procedures for submitting a project proposal?
Fill out the “Grant Proposal Submission Approval Form.” The approval for each proposal is provided in accordance with the sequence of signatures in the form, followed by the approval of the Office of Grants and Contracts. Applicants are notified when they can move forward with the project proposal and send it to the funder.
What are the procedures to request approval on a grant agreement to your project?
Fill out the “Grant Agreement Form” and attach the original agreement. Send your documents to the Office of Grants and Contracts for technical, formal and legal revision. If there are no comments, the university president will signit.
If a grant agreement was not approved legally, what can you do?
The Office of Grants and Contracts will review and modify each agreement, and will inform the funder about the required modifications in order to proceed with the signing process.
What are steps taken if the funder requires submitting only one proposal by the university?
Fill out the “Grant Proposal Submission Approval Form”. The Office of Grants and Contracts will coordinate and manage the process of submitting one project proposal under the name of Birzeit University.
How can you request an extension for a project that has expired in the “Project Management System”?
Fill out the “Amended Grant Agreement Form” on Ritaj. Attach the Extension Agreement / or the funder’s approval of the extension in accordance with the series of signatures mentioned in the form. The extension agreement will be reviewed by the Office of Grants and Contracts to obtain the required approvals for the extension.

Who is authorized to sign project agreements and grants?
The university president. The president can authorize someone else to sign on behalf of him.

What are the procedures for signing a Mandate Request by the university president as a requirement from the funder in order to apply for Erasmus+ projects?
Fill out the “Erasmus+ Mandate Request Form” on Ritaj and sign the form in accordance with the defined sequence of signatures. The form should be reviewed by the Office of Grants and Contracts.
