Students, faculty members explore graduate education opportunities in DAAD info session

Students, faculty, and staff members at Birzeit University have discussed scholarship and academic exchange opportunities at German higher education institutions in an information session organized by the External Academic Relations Office and led by Dr. Anja Zorob on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

In the session, Zorob gave a brief overview of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), explaining that the organization offers the chance for Palestinian students and academics to study, train, and carry out research in German universities and institutes.

Zorob then gave a brief overview of the master’s and doctoral scholarships offered by DAAD, discussing the admission requirements, application procedure, and deadlines for submission. She also discussed the exchange opportunities offered for Palestinian faculty members to research and train at German institutions, outlining the available positions, partner universities, as well as the application procedure and requirements.

Birzeit University, Zorob noted, has a long and fruitful relationship with German educational institutions, owing to the country’s strong research culture, which has led to an infusion of highly skilled and knowledgeable instructors and professors who lead the development of the university.
