Symposium on public-private partnerships

The master’s program of Law and Economics at Birzeit University’s Faculty of Law and Public Administration held a symposium on the intersection of public and private sectors in public-private partnerships (PPPs), featuring Ahmed Abu Laban, general director of Ramallah Municipality; Nimer Abdul Wahed, deputy chairman at Palestine Real Estate Investment Company (PRICO); and Firas Milhem, a professor of constitutional law at Birzeit University.

The symposium explored the linkages and differences between governments and the private sector, as speakers explained in what areas and aspects the private sector intervenes in and supports the public services offered by govenrments and economic systems around the world, introducing real-life examples from Palestine.
