Italian delegation visits Muwatin Institute, celebrates ongoing partnership

Birzeit University’s Muwatin Institute for Democracy and Human Rights hosted a delegation from the University of Palermo to celebrate their new cooperation that offers exchange opportunities for students under the umbrella of the Erasmus+ program.

Both parties discussed prospects of cooperation in academic research.

During their visit, Mudar Kassis, the director of the institute, introduced the work of the institute and its research approaches.

George Giacaman, an associate professor at the institute, hailed the long-standing relationship between Muwatin and the University of Palermo that started in 1999.

Amir Khalil, the director of the External Academic Relations Office, talked about the Erasmus+ program and its impact, the International Credit Mobility scheme, and the participating European partner universitiesز
