Academic relations officer shares university Erasmus+ experience in Norway staff week

Amir Khalil, the external academic relations officer at Birzeit University, discussed the university’s Erasmus+ experience at the University of Bergen’s Staff Mobility Week, held from May 6 to 10, 2019, in Bergen, Norway.

In the event, which included over 30 representatives of different European and Arab universities, Khalil gave an overview of Birzeit University’s history and academic offerings, and reviewed its efforts to forge connections with international academic institutions under the Erasmus+ program.

Khalil, citing the university’s experience in offering exchange opportunities for more than 120 Birzeit and international students under the Erasmus+ program, called for further tweaks to the International Credit Mobility application process to facilitate the exchange procedure.

Khalil also met with Karl Harald Søvig, dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Bergen; faculty members from the Department of Foreign Languages; and external academic relations personnel to explore joint research projects as well as student and staff mobility between the various programs offered by both institutions.
