B-Hub, I3HUB sign memorandum of understanding

Birzeit University, represented by its Vice President for Community Affairs Dr. Asem Khalil, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the university’s B-Hub and I3HUB. The MoU aims to provide an opportunity for B-Hub’s students and entrepreneurs to launch their software and high-tech startup projects with the help of I3HUB’s investment package.

The signing of the MoU was attended by Director of the Office of Grants and Contracts Dr. Amir Khalil; Director of the Center for Continuing Education Marwan Tarazi; B-Hub Manager Olga Batran; and Executive Officer of I3HUB Ahmad Shurafa.

The two parties agreed to cooperate on supporting entrepreneurs and provide investment opportunities that would facilitate their expansion to regional and international markets. The services offered by both the B-Hub and I3HUB would be available to entrepreneurs of both sides.

A number of software startup ideas were pitched by B-Hub’s entrepreneurs before a committee from I3HUB, who decided to invest in some of these projects. I3HUB also provided proper work spaces for the projects, as well as other services that it usually offers for its partner teams, such as business idea development, guidance, and artistic design.
