BZU welcomes new “PAS” students

On September 6, 2017, Birzeit University welcomed more than 40 new international students in the Palestine and Arab Studies Program “PAS”; a program that focuses on teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.

PAS Director Hanada Kharma introduced the students to the program, and the specialized courses that it offers, including Arabic language, Palestinian culture, history and politics. She explained how the Program seeks to combine the study of the Arabic language with the Palestinian and Arab culture.

Palestinian Cause professor Sa’d Nimer briefed the new students about the social and political life in Palestine and the Arab world, assuring that enrolled students will be able to understand the true picture about the Palestinian struggle with the Israeli Occupation.

The Public Relations Office talked about the history of Birzeit University and its academic programs.
